Over the 20 years of its existence, EKS has grown into a renown organization specialized in adult education and career counselling, both at national and European level. We work with various disadvantaged groups (long-term unemployed persons, women on maternity and parental leave, the elderly, migrants) as well as professionals in the field of counselling and education (teachers, trainers, career counsellors and coaches). We cooperate with schools, universities and other stake holders in the field of education with the focus on improving the quality of career guidance for adults and children. We have participated in several international projects aimed at sharing of good practice in education and career counselling for disadvantaged groups and for young people.

Summary
The aim of the project is to develop and test tools to support conscious and gender-non-stereotypical decision-making about future study and career paths. As part of the project, we will train and provide individual support to teachers at three primary schools in Prague and the Central Bohemian Region, employees of employment offices in the same areas, and parents of pupils at participating primary schools. We will create and test an innovative model of cooperation between these actors, publish methodologies for gender-non-stereotypical practices (which will be tested by the target group themselves), and present everything to the wider public at an educational seminar.

Cooperation partnerships in vocational education and training
Project description
Abstract
Climate change can have far-reaching negative impacts on our lives, but we can all actively contribute to improving the situation. Career counselors play a key role in this, as they can influence a large group of (current and future) employees, employers, and entrepreneurs to integrate sustainability into their daily work.
The aim of the project is to provide career counselors and other experts in vocational education with support, knowledge, and tools that they can use to develop their students’ and clients’ ability to understand climate change and respond to it when choosing education and employment. The methods developed will be tested in practice by career counselors, and in each of the participating countries, so-called project ambassadors will be trained to further disseminate the tested methods after the end of the project.
